Summary

Multi-decimal support is a site-wide setting (Settings > Configure Chargebee > Multi-decimal Support.). If you set the length to be 3 places, then:

a. Once you set the number of decimal places to 3, You would no longer be able to edit it and set it to a different value.

b. It would not be possible for us to change the value from the backend.

c. We would not be able to disable this setting once enabled.

Please keep in mind the above points and let us know if you would still like to have MDS enabled.

Solution

You can set up multi-decimal support on your site by navigating to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Multi-decimal Support.

To configure multiple decimal pricing in your Chargebee site, follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings > Configure Chargebee > Multi-decimal Support.

  2. In the Multi-decimal support page, click Enable to set up multiple decimal pricing.

  3. Under Pricing Length, select the number of decimal places for price from the drop-down. You can select up to 20 decimal places.

  1. Under Quantity Length, select the number of decimal places for the quantity from the drop-down. You can select up to 20 decimal places.

  2. Click Publish.

After the setting is enabled, you can start specifying the quantity and price values for your plan and addon price points in multiple decimal places, with the number specified in the above settings being the upper limit. For example, when you specify 10 decimal places to be the Pricing and Quantity lengths, you can define the price or quantity value with any number of decimal places up to 10.
