How to invoice in a different currency?

How to invoice in a different currency?

This article covers

Can I create one plan with different currencies?
Can I change the currency from an existing subscription?

Summary

You can invoice your customers in their local currency using the “Multicurrency pricing” feature. However, to do this, you have to create different plans using the currencies your customers would request the invoice for.

Note: The currency of the subscription depends on the plan (PC 1.0) or plan price point (PC 2.0) that you have created or selected and cannot be changed at the subscription level.

Example: In PC 1.0, If a plan named XYZ is created in USD then any subscription created using this plan will only be in USD and cannot be changed to any currency that is in non-USD.

At present, in PC 1.0, Chargebee doesn't support creating a plan with multiple currencies, as an alternative, you can achieve this by creating one plan for each currency.

In both PC 1.0 and PC 2.0, if you need to change a subscription's currency you need to cancel the subscription and create a new subscription with a plan that has an appropriate currency.

Note: Subscriptions that are canceled will affect your churn report, if not created and canceled the same day.
