How do I prepare for the e-mandate changes by RBI?
What should I do?
Note: RBI has made new changes from 1st Oct 2021 on the E-mandate. Read about the E-mandate and guidelines here.
Solution
Webhooks needs to be configured as all recurring payments are going to take X+3 days to get a confirmation
Communicate these requirements to your customers and the need to come back online to setup mandate after Oct 1
Make sure to have Dunning configured in Chargebee. Dunning emails will have to be configured so that end customers can be notified of any payment failures
Increase the dunning period to provide more grace period for their customers to come back online pay for the payment due to invoices
