Scope
“Unhandled Error has occurred when trying to communicate with the mail server” while configuring the SMTP of AWS
Summary
This error will rise while configuring SMTP of AWS due to entering the TLS as 465 or others. Please use the TLS as 587 which will help you to resolve this error
Solution
If you are configuring the SMTP of AWS in your Chargebee site, you may face this error during the configuration, as shown in the screenshot below,
Please set the TLS as 587 instead of 465, that will fix the error and you will be able to proceed in configuring SMTP.
