PayPal via Adyen

Adyen's payment platform offers a single integration point for multiple payment methods, including PayPal. This allows you to streamline your payment processing and simplify your payment infrastructure by integrating with Adyen.

Adyen accepts payments via PayPal. With the Adyen payment gateway, your customers can make payments using their PayPal account. Learn more about integrating PayPal with Adyen.

If you enable PayPal via Adyen in your Smart Routing settings, your customers can select PayPal as the payment method during checkout. Customers will be prompted to enter their PayPal credentials to complete the payment.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding with the configuration, you must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Complete the steps required to accept PayPal payments via Adyen before configuring it in Chargebee. This includes creating your PayPal sandbox site, giving Adyen access to your sandbox site, fetching your PayPal merchant ID, adding PayPal to your Adyen customer area, and setting up your live business site.   • Enable PayPal in your Adyen account before configuring it in your Chargebee site.

Integration options

You can integrate PayPal via Adyen in Chargebee using Chargebee Hosted Pages, Chargebee JS, Gateway JS, and APIs.

Enable PayPal in Chargebee

To enable PayPal for Adyen on your Chargebee site:

  1. Log in to your Chargebee site.

  2. Go to Settings > Payment Gateways > Adyen.

  3. Enable PayPal.

  4. Click Apply in the top-right corner.

Smart Routing

On enabling PayPal via Adyen, smart routing will be enabled for the relevant currencies automatically.
