FAQ

  1. Why does a PayPal payment fail when the customer cancels or does not complete authentication?

This error occurs when the customer cancels or fails to complete PayPal authentication. Common scenarios include:

  • Closing the PayPal popup before approving the payment.
  • Not completing two-factor authentication or PayPal verification.
  • Actively cancelling the authentication request.

Ask your customer to try the payment again and ensure they complete the PayPal authentication process.

If the error occurs again, you can suggest that they:

  • Use a different card linked to their PayPal account, or
  • Try a different PayPal account.

If the issue continues after multiple attempts, ask the customer to contact PayPal Support for further assistance, as the error originates from PayPal.
