Solution 

Yes, it???s possible to move the customer from a Card to a Direct Debit. Ensure you have the Offline payment configured on your site > Direct Debit Configuration > go to the Customers page > click Edit Customer > Payment Options > select Allow customers to pay via their bank account

Once this option is selected, click Update to save the changes. Now, you can use the Request Payment Method Update from the customer details page to send a link for the customer to update their bank account details, or you can add bank details if you have them.

Add bank Account:

To add the bank account navigate to the Customers page > Payment Methods > Add Payment Method
