Why do I see “Advance charges will be issued as credits to this customer at the time Subscription pause” message while pausing a subscription?

This article covers

What is getting referred to as “Advance Charges” while pausing a subscription?

Summary

If you are pausing the subscription for the period of time in the future for which you have generated an advance invoice already, then this alert will be displayed on the pop-up window.

Solution

You will be able to view the notification or alert related to Advance Charges while pausing a subscription only if you have generated any Advance invoices for the upcoming billing period.

Some prorated credits will be generated if the pause period is falling within the billing period mentioned in the advance invoices.

By clicking on the advance charges you will be redirected to the advance invoice from which the prorated credit will be created for the pause period.
