Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Scavenger Hunt Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Eligibility:Chargebee’s 2024 Dreamforce Scavenger Hunt Contest (the “Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest”) is open only to 2024 Dreamforce attendees who are at least 21 years of age as of the date of entry. Employees of Chargebee, Salesforce, GPJ Experience Marketing, and Chargebee Dreamforce Partners (ex. Avalara), their affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest. The Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited. Only Contestants who have completed: (1) the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest registration form; (2) a discovery meeting with the Chargebee Team either at or before Dreamforce (subject to verification); and (3) at least 2 of the 3 tasks on the scavenger hunt stamp card received at, and returned to, Chargebee’s Dreamforce booth on or before September 18, 2024 at 3:00pm Pacific Time shall be eligible to win prizes as outlined below in Section 6. 

2. Sponsor: The Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest is sponsored by CHARGEBEE INC. (“Chargebee”), located at 909 Rose Ave., Ste. 950, North Bethesda, Maryland, 20852, United States.

3. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree(s) to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules. You also represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Chargebee as final and binding as it relates to the content of the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest.

4. Contest Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on July 29, 2024 at 9:00am Pacific Time and ending September 18, 2024 at 3:00pm Pacific Time. All completed entry forms and scavenger hunt stamp cards must be received by September 18, 2024 at 3:00pm Pacific Time.

5. How to Enter: The Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest must be entered into by submitting a completed online entry form provided at https://www.chargebee.com/events/scavenger-hunt/. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or qualifying specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Chargebee. Contestants can only enter once and must provide accurate information as requested. Contestants may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Chargebee.

6. Prizes: The first 200 qualified Contestants to complete: (1) the Chargebee 2024 Dreamfest Scavenger Hunt Contest registration form; (2) a discovery meeting with the Chargebee Team either at or before Dreamforce (subject to verification); and (3) at least 2 of the 3 tasks on the scavenger hunt stamp card, and who return their completed scavenger hunt stamp cards to the Chargebee Dreamforce Booth on or before September 18, 2024 at 3:00pm Pacific Time, will win noise-canceling headphones with a retail value of approximately USD 350.00 (“Headphone Winners”). Contestant qualification to receive a scavenger hunt stamp card will depend on Contestant’s Company having at least 100 employees. Unqualified Contestants will receive a $50 e-gift card or VISA card and will be ineligible to win other prizes. Qualifications are subject to verification by Chargebee. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prizes shall be solely determined by Chargebee. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Chargebee’s discretion. No substitution of prizes or transfer/assignment of prizes to others by contest winners is permitted except at Chargebee’s discretion. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the responsibility of the contest winners. Headphone Winners will be entered into a drawing to win either a DreamPack, featuring Chargebee customer products with an estimated retail value of USD 800.00, or a Grand Prize Golden Ticket Dreamfest experience, which will include a DreamPack as well as access to the Chargebee private suite for the 2024 Dreamfest concert and limousine transportation to and from the concert (the estimated retail value of a Grand Prize Golden Ticket is USD 4,250.00). 10 Headphone Winners will be selected at random to win the DreamPacks, and 2 Headphone Winners will be selected at random to win the Grand Prize Golden Ticket Dreamfest experience. The value(s) of the prize(s) set forth above represent Chargebee’s good faith determination of the approximate retail value(s) thereof; the actual fair market value(s) as ultimately determined by Chargebee are final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed. In the event the stated approximate retail value(s) of a prize is more than the actual fair market value of that prize, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. No substitution or compensation will be given for any portion of the prize that is not used. Acceptance of all prizes constitutes permission for Chargebee to use all winners’ names, likeness, and entry forms for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

7. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

8. Winner Selection and Notification: Contestants who have qualified based on the number of employees in their Company, and who have been verified to have completed: (1) the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest registration form; (2) a discovery meeting with the Chargebee Team either at or before Dreamforce; and (3) at least 2 of the 3 tasks on the scavenger hunt stamp card received at, and returned to, Chargebee’s Dreamforce booth on or before September 18, 2024 at 3:00pm Pacific Time will receive the noise-canceling headphones (“Headphone Winners”). Headphone Winners will then be entered into a drawing to win either 10 DreamPacks or 2 Grand Prize Golden Ticket Dreamfest experiences. DreamPack and Grand Prize Golden Ticket Winners will be notified by phone and email just after September 18 at 3:00pm Pacific Time. Please note that Grand Prize Golden Ticket Winners will have 30 minutes post-notification to claim their prize or it will be forfeited and Chargebee will select an alternate winner. Chargebee shall have no liability for any Headphone Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk email, or other security settings or for Winner’s submission of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. Receipt by winner of any of the prizes offered in the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT CHARGEBEE'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CHARGEBEE'S 2024 DREAMFORCE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

9. Rights Granted by You: By entering this contest, You understand and agree that Chargebee, anyone acting on behalf of Chargebee, and Chargebee’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. By entering Your registration form content, You represent and warrant that your entry does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Chargebee. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chargebee from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which Chargebee may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.

10. Terms & Conditions: Chargebee reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest without liability should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Chargebee’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest. In such a case, Chargebee may select Headphone and other Prize Winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Chargebee. Chargebee reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Chargebee has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Chargebee reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event will Chargebee be responsible for awarding more than the number of prizes specified in these rules. 

11. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Chargebee and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant's participation in the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest and/or his/her/their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion; and/or (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries. CHARGEBEE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, AS REGARDS THIS CONTEST OR THE MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR ANY COMPONENT OF ANY PRIZE. 

12. Disputes: In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. THE CHARGEBEE 2024 DREAMFORCE CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF UNITED STATES AND CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Chargebee's 2024 Dreamforce Contest, Contestant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Chargebee 2024 Dreamforce Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in California having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall Contestants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees. Contestants further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

13. Privacy Policy: Information submitted with an entry is subject to Chargebee’s Privacy Notice. 

14. Winners List: To obtain a copy of the Winners’ names or a copy of these Official Rules, You can mail your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Chargebee (re: 2024 Dreamforce Contest), 909 Rose Ave. Ste. 950, North Bethesda, Maryland 20852, United States. Requests must be received no later than September 24, 2024 at 5:00pm Pacific Time. Contest questions can be directed to jaime.nielson@chargebee.com. 

15. Social Media: Chargebee's 2024 Dreamforce Contest hosted by Chargebee is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, LinkedIn or Microsoft.

16. By submitting your entry form, You, the Contestant, have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules.
