Solution

Chargebee's 2-Factor Authentication helps secure your Chargebee account better. With 2FA setup, logging into your account requires your password and an additional code. This additional code is a one-time valid code that is generated using the Google-Authenticator app on your phone.

To enable 2-FA for your account, head to Ac_count > Manage Account > Two Factor Authentication_ and click Enable. You will be required to scan a QR code on your phone's Authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code from the app to complete the configuration.

The code from the Authenticator app needs to be entered along with your password every time you try to log in.

Recovery Codes:

If you are unable to access your codes, such as when you change or lose your phone, recovery codes can come in handy. You can use them to log into your account and reset the 2FA.

Recovery codes can be downloaded from the 2FA configuration page during setup. You can also download them by navigating to your Profile from the Navigation Bar(Username > Edit Profile).

What if I do not have my recovery Codes?

If you don't have your recovery codes, you can request a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) reset from your site admin. A 2FA reset is only allowed if both you and the admin are associated with the same company (sharing the same Chargebee customer identifier or merchant ID). When you log in, you'll see a message indicating if you're eligible for a 2FA reset. If eligible, the admin can reset your 2FA by navigating to Settings > Team Members, selecting your profile, and clicking Reset 2FA. After the reset, you'll receive an email notification prompting you to log in and set up 2FA again. Learn more.

You need to disable Single Sign-On to enable two-factor authentication

You can disable the 2FA feature at any time by clicking the Disable option in the 2FA section on your Profile page. Once disabled, your account will be secured by your password alone. If you would like to enable 2FA once again, follow steps from here.
