How to translate the tax rate description on the invoice PDF?
Summary
To translate 'invoice tax description' on the invoice PDF, you need to download and update the 'Language Pack' specific to the Tax rate description. This can be manually updated by navigating to the respective language folder, i.e, for English: en > internal > invoices.csv > invoice.rate.description
Solution
To change the language contents for the Tax rate description, follow the steps below:
Downloading the language pack
You can download the language pack from Settings » Languages translate all the values in the language pack and upload it to the same page. More details about configuring multiple languages within Chargebee can be found here.
Unzip the downloaded pack. You will see the folder structure as shown below. To edit the Tax rate description, navigate to en > Internal > invoice.csv
Articles & FAQNote: Language folders will be in the code names. For example: fr-French, en-English & de-German as in the above screenshot.
Open the invoice.csv file in an editable format and change the relevant field or text you want to edit by adding the updated information in the 'Value' column.
You will find the tax rate description on the 25th row under the 'key' column mentioned as 'tax.rate.description'
Note: You can edit this CSV file either in a text editor or in Google sheets or MS office. Remember to save the file in the .csv extension only.
Compress the complete language pack post the edit and upload it by navigating to Configure Chargebee > Languages > upload language pack. On successful upload the changes will reflect on the invoice PDF.
